May

A calmer month emotionally, and some progress.

Goals

Healing business/new job: I have done two crystal healing case studies this month which went really well and I have some more in the pipeline.

There has been some progress on the job front. I don’t want to say too much, but my name is being put forward for a job I would actually like to do! it’s just a case of waiting now but I’m feeling very optimistic about it. I’m still job hunting in the meantime and my friend Rachel has helped me to re do my C.V.

learn crystal healing/aromatherapy/herbalism: see above. I’ve also bought some new crystals this month, been reading about how to do crystal divination and have attempted to make my first crystal grid.

write my spiritual book- most of the month I still didn’t work on it despite being told over and over again I need to. The last few weeks I’ve been working on it again.

Earth Healing group- I decided to stop this, as it wasn’t really taking off, I didn’t feel inspired but also I wanted to start something new, so in June I’m starting up a spiritual women’s circle.

Glastonbury and Three Wishes- I won’t get to Three Wishes this year as it’s not that far away now, and I haven’t made any plans for Glastonbury yet.

more photos of friends and family: none

write more/Friday Night Writes: I haven’t done loads but at least I am working on The Book again and I’ve just signed up to another writing project for June.

more gigs- none, was supposed to be going to see The Julie Ruin, but Kathleen Hanna’s illness has flared up again so it’s been postponed sadly.

What I got up to:

Passionate Women Meeting- we brought along our vision boards and talked about them. It was an emotional meeting as a lot of the women really opened up talking about very sensitive subjects and tragic events that had happened to them.

Animal Healing- my friend Jeannie does animal healing and she came to do some on our cat Mitzi. It was amazing, it was like Mitzi knew she was coming as she waited by the window for her and then she was super friendly when she came. (Mitzi is not an over friendly cat- she is very particular). Then when Jeannie did the healing, she sat patiently until she was done! Jeannie picked up that she was an Egyptian cat in a past life and she misses having a job. She suggested we let her in the room when we do our healing work. Jeannie is coming again next week, so looking forward to what comes up.

Spiritual Meet Up- the spiritual group met up at Jackie’s house for a food share and chat. We had a hilarious night full of laughter as the conversation rapidly went downhill!

What If? meeting- learned all about appreciative inquiry, which is really interesting, about looking at things in a positive manner. You should look it up!

Voted- sadly there was no green party representative for my local vote so I voted for labour, but I did vote Green in the Euro vote.

Pagan Picnic- last weekend we went to a fantastic Beltane Pagan Picnic at Hadleigh County Park which is arranged every year by one of the local moots. There were stalls and performances from drummers, belly dancing, morris dancing and more. there were loads of people we knew there.

Quiz night- went to a quiz night to raise money for the homeless but ended up leaving a bit early as it was dragging on.

Passionate Women meeting 2- a creative meet up, we made handbag scrapbooks from loo rolls, and cardboard, it was really good fun!

Spiritual meet up 2- another meet up, this time at Crystal’s house to celebrate Crystal and Skie’s birthdays.

100 Happy Days

I have just finished the 100 Happy Days Project

For this project the idea was to take a photo each day of something that made you happy. It didn’t have to be anything massive, it could be as simple as you like. The main point was to draw your attention to the happy things in your life, especially those that you take for granted.

Last year I did something similar, every day for the whole year, I posted a status of at least one ‘Good Thing’ of my day. I now do this using a blessing jar, which I can empty at the end of the year and look back on all the lovely moments. I found the photo project much more difficult, as although there is always at least one happy thing, not all of it is possible to take a photo of. For some occasions I used older photos I had taken and sometimes I found images I could use, rather than taking a photo myself. I found that not in all moments, do you think to take a photo, as when you’re in that moment, you’re living it, and not trying to make it still, just letting it happen.

Overall, I am pretty pleased with the results, and I would recommend you try this project if you haven’t already. All you need to do is sign up via the link I posted at the beginning of this blog. Then you use either Twitter or Facebook, post your photo each day with the hash tag #100happydays. You can also opt to do the project privately.

If you want to see all 100 of my photos you can visit my TwitPic account- http://twitpic.com/photos/moonlightwrites

but here are 10 of my favourite photos from the project, so you can get an idea.

Image

Day 1- I took part in the RSPB’s Big Garden Bird Watch. I took a few photos on my walk and this image of two collared doves was my favourite. (they came 9th in the survey by the way). I love watching birds.

Image

Day 8- I took this on a walk through my favourite place Churchill Gardens. I try to go there at least once a week. I think this image catches the ‘secret garden’ feel of the place.

Image

Day 50- this is me hugging a tree in Belfairs Woods. I think this photo sums me up quite nicely!

Image

Day 6- this is a picture of my cat Roxie, being cute 🙂

Image

Day 92- a photo of Southend Seafront

Image

Day 10- this is a photo of me reading an open mic poetry session for the first time.

Image

Day 22- a photo of the first blossom I saw this year. (taken 16th feb)

Image

Day 26- this is my friend Sue, reading a card all of us from the spiritual group had written for her.

Image

Day 70- my certificate from the Crystal Healing course I did 🙂

Image

day 93- moonstones my friend Karen gave me.

April: not little April Showers, more like a downpour!

One thing I have certainly noticed about April is that everyone has seemed to be having a hard time. Health issues, stress, various problems seem to have come up. There has been a lot of very powerful solar activity lately- solar eclipses, and the Cardinal Grand Cross- which is a astrological sign of challenges and transformation. For me, my mood has been very fluctuating, after feeling very ‘up’ for ages, I have been finding myself feeling low again, I’ve been trying to find a new job since about October now, and despite applying for quite a few things, I am yet to have any interviews. Work has been getting harder, there is so much to take on, and I am being run down to the ground, and don’t feel appreciated. So for all for us, let’s hope that May will be the start of the positive side of the transformation!

Goals Wise

healing business/new job- well I have answered the new job one! Regarding the spiritual business, I have done a crystal healing course this month, I haven’t had any clients still but I have been doing some case studies for the crystal healing, so I am hoping that this will help spread the word, as my feedback has been very positive so far. We also did our first stall at a holistic fair, it was very quiet so we didn’t make that much, but quite a few people did pick up our business card. We are doing another fair in Hornchurch at the end of this month.

learn crystal healing/aromatherapy/herbalism- did a basic crystal healing course, and I have been buying some oils.

write my spiritual book- still haven’t been working on this, need to get onto it again!

earth healing group- there was no meeting this month, the day got changed, and the only person who could come had to pull out at the last minute.

Glastonbury and three wishes- still no plans

more photos of friends and family- none, although I’ve been in some!

write more/Friday Night Writes- if you’re a regular reader, you’ll know I took part in NaPriMo, the challenge to write a poem everyday in April. I did it, but it was a real challenge!

more gigs- I went to one! It was a covers band, but lots of fun.

What I got up to:

Passionate Women Meeting- we got together and discussed ‘Compliments’ how we feel receiving them and giving them, generally people felt better giving than receiving and we found it easier to give them to other women.

Crystal Healing course- a one day course, with only a few others. It was a lovely day, and I enjoyed practising the healing very much.

Sara’s Party- I went to a friend’s 40th party, sadly I went on my own and didn’t really know anyone, so had trouble, so left a bit early which was a shame, as from the photos it looked like it was a lot of fun!

What if?- my friend Sherry’s project, a meet up to connect people with big ideas. In this particular session, there was talk about permaculture, and then a few people put forward ideas they wanted to talk about, and then the others could go round and listen to whatever talk they wanted to, or even walk about and listen to them all. I listened to one about the idea of an urban woodland, making natural spaces more accessible.

Holistic Fair-as I mentioned above, it was pretty quiet. I did finally have the reading I won a few months ago though, which was using traditional tarot, a beautiful deck called the Nature Oracle and Angel Cards. She was really good, she picked up where were my emotions are, that I’m not giving myself enough of a break, that I need to stop thinking about my book and just do. She also said I need to spend more time by water (two of the three animal cards were water related)! which is a message I keep getting over and over again! If you want a reading from the same person, you can find her here: http://www.themagicofnatureoracle.com/

The day ended nice, as Rachel and Dave came to visit from Switzerland, and they treated us to a lovely Indian takeaway which was nice of them.

Easter week and weekend were busy for me. I had a few crystal healing sessions, and the weekend was great. On the Friday I went along to my friend Chris’s Yoga and drumming class, as usually I can’t do, as it’s at a time that I’m working. Then on the Saturday, I went out with my friend Sherry and some of her friends to a pub in Leigh where a friend of her’s band were playing. They were very good and played a whole range of covers from Iron maiden, even Daft Punk, and lots of classics.

Crystal meditation- my friend Gareth runs this, and this month we worked with malachite/azurite, a very powerful stone about positive change. We also did a cool journey where we got to meet aliens in a crop circle who gave us a gift. My aliens gave me a light they put in my heart chakra, and said I should remember to always shine my light.

I think that brings me up to date 🙂
