Goddess Project: Sophia, Goddess of Wisdom.

on August 3, 2015

So if you’re a regular reader of my blog, you would have seen that this month I am doing a “Goddess Project”, if you missed the post you can find it here

This week I have started working with the goddess Sophia, the goddess of wisdom.

On Saturday, I just did the initial research to find out more about her, then yesterday I began to pray to her, to help me to connect with her wisdom and to also help me to connect to my own inner wisdom. Nothing significant really happened that I’m aware of but today quite a lot has happened!

First of all I managed to journey to Sophia this morning. I asked her why her symbol is a dove, as she is a goddess of wisdom, not peace. She told me it’s because Wisdom is Peace. Wisdom is always coming from a place of peace no matter how we feel or how others are making us feel. She said it’s okay to feel angry, sad, frustrated, etc but that wisdom is feeling these emotions but not taking them out on others. Wisdom is not allowing these emotions to control us.

So that was the journey, then later on, I was doing a bit of writing without really thinking about what was coming out of the pen. I think I was channelling Sophia through my writing, so here is what she had to say:

What is wisdom? Wisdom is peace. Peace is wisdom. Wisdom is remaining calm although your world is being shaken. Wisdom is serenity in the face of adversity. Wisdom is speaking words that come from a place of love. Wisdom is seeing the beauty in every situation no matter how ugly it might seem on the surface.

Wisdom is going with the flow and making decisions with your heart and not your head. Wisdom is trusting what your heart is telling you. Wisdom is the dove flying gracefully in the sky. Wisdom is within every one of us, no matter what level of education we might have had. Wisdom does not equal qualifications.

Wisdom is the knowledge we learn from our life experiences, no matter what they are, whether they are good or bad. Every experience teaches us and we gain further wisdom to guide us on our path. Wisdom is seeing every aspect of every situation and choosing the most peaceful path for the benefit of all involved.

Wisdom is being open to learning. Wisdom is occasionally making mistakes. Wisdom is letting go. Wisdom is opening your heart and pure acceptance. Wisdom is knowing when to be silent and when to speak. Wisdom is being true to yourself.

Wisdom is the maiden, mother and the crone. Every cycle has it’s wisdom. Wisdom is both the sun, and the moon. The darkness and the light, working in harmony together. Wisdom is me and wisdom is you. Wisdom is every person, every creature and every living being. Wisdom is seeing and believing…
